Phenomenology of Lepton-nucleus Dis
The results of recent phenomenological studies of unpolarized nuclear deep-inelastic scattering are discussed and applied to calculate neutrino charged-current structure functions and cross sections for a number of nuclei. Significant nuclear effects were discovered in charged-lepton (CL) deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) experiments (for a review see [1,2]). The experimental observations indicat...
متن کاملPhenomenology of Minimal Lepton Flavor Violation
We extend the effective theory of Minimal Lepton Flavor Violation (MLFV) by including four-lepton operators. We compute the rates for μ → 3e and τ → 3l decays and point out several new ways to test the hypothesis of MLFV. We also investigate to what extent it will be possible from (future) experimental information to pin down the contributions of different effective operators. In particular we ...

متن کاملCompatibility of global NPDF analyses of neutrino DIS and charged-lepton DIS data
T. Stavreva LPSC, Université Joseph Fourier Grenoble 1, CNRS/IN2P3, INPG, Grenoble, F-38026, France E-mail: [email protected] The neutrino deep inelastic scattering (DIS) data is very interesting for global analyses of proton and nuclear parton distribution functions (PDFs) since they provide crucial information on the strange quark distribution in the proton and allow for a better flavor ...
متن کاملSuperscaling in lepton - nucleus scattering
We suggest that superscaling analyses of few-GeV inclusive electron scattering from nuclei, both in the quasielastic peak and in the region where the ∆-excitation dominates, allow one to make reliable predictions for charge-changing neutrino reactions at energies of a few GeV, relevant for neutrino oscillation experiments.
